Recording & Mixing:
Recording and mixing is available at The Hallowed Halls and at my home studio in SE Portland OR. So named because of the majestic presence of the buildings main live room, The Hallowed Halls features two beautiful studios and an extensive mic collection suited to most needs. More information on the Hallowed Hall’s facilities can be found here. My home studio is suited for in person mixing, remote work, and overdub or small project recording.
Recording: $30/ hr + the cost of studio time ($35/hr - $50/hr with some discounts available)
Mixing: $30/ hr in person. $100 per song flat rate mixing for remote work (up to 30 tracks of audio. $5 per additional audio track). Its often best to hire a separate mastering engineer for a fresh perceptive on the mix, but if needed I can provide flat rate mixing & mastering at $120 per song (track rate applies to mixing only).
Producing: I can act as a producer within either of these roles. That means I can provide creative feedback, session management, and appropriate sonic aesthetic choices. There is no additional charge for this service during any recording or mixing sessions. Just let me know that you’re interested in having me act as a producer before we get started!
Live Sound Mixing:
I am available for hire as live engineer as well. I currently serve as an engineer at the Atlantis Lounge at Mississippi Pizza and I am excited to work elsewhere in the future. I can work at any venue with a house sound system, and I can rent a system for unequipped and non-traditional venues.
Live Sound Mixing: $20 - $30/ hr. This will depend on the scope of the production. Solo artists and singer songwriters with simple setups rest comfortably in the $20 range while fully amplified bands that require more attention sit at the top of the pay range.
Rental Equipment: $100 - $400 flat fee. If the production requirements are beyond my what my own gear can handle I will need to source rental gear. I will need to charge to help cover a portion of the rental cost.
